Beachy Bathroom Retreat.

My creative bug was itching. I started dating Erick a year and a half ago, and since then, we've been living in what I'd like to call a "Bachelor Cottage".  A Beautiful, but small, two bedroom home tucked away on a nice piece of property surrounded by lush grass and trees.

When I moved in, I'd dream of re-doing each room and making it a true "home". Some where that we both felt comfortable, and happy. A tidy space, that I could let my creativity shine, and come through. A place we'd make our own.

The first step for me was this bathroom. It was my least favorite room in the house as a matter-a-fact. It was small, totally unpractical, and the ugliest shade of yellow I believed was in the color spectrum. Something had to be done.

One morning while Erick was off at work, the itch grew stronger so I opted for a last minute decorating frenzy. I knew I wanted to decorate this house with a "beach-cottage" feel. Some place we would wake up every morning and believe we were somewhere on a coastal piece of property with the beach right outside our front door. Living in the Northwest, the beach surrounds us in almost every direction. We love the water, and everything that comes along with it.
